It's easier to get everyone living under one roof to jump in on the eat sensibly bandwagon. This improves the ease and odds of adherence for several reasons :
1. Lot less explaining to do about why protein needs to be bumped up and why you want to eat more vegetables
2. Not cooking 75 different meals
3. Lot easier to be more measured in the amount of junk which is stocked at home. We'd argue it's easier to buy a treat and finish it on the spot rather than stock up on a whole lot of them and have to practice impulse control
4. Easier to track your macros if someone who is trying to eat along the same lines as you is cooking the food
You would have to spend a lot more time up front convincing your family member to start training and eating better. But this will save you countless hours not answering dumb questions later if they actually drink the kool-aid err.. protein shake with you
